Tiger Woods makes headlines once again after his most recent car accident. Woods was once the most respected man in sports but has now fallen short again after another careless act.
The 50 year old golfer on March 27th, 2026 he crashed his SUV. The crash occurred on Jupiter Island, Florida where Woods was then arrested. When authorities arrived on the scene they found Woods car rolled onto its driver side after he attempted to pass a truck at a very high speed on a two lane row. Authorities suspected him as drunk driving and he was arrested at the scene.
Woods was driving a Land Rover when he attempted to pass the truck but the truck slowed down to turn into a driveway. Woods was driving way above the speed limit and couldn’t slow down in time so he swerved and clipped the truck which cause the car to roll over. Woods crawled out through the passenger door and no injuries happened in him or the truck driver.
When authorities arrived they noticed that Tiger Woods appeared to be lethargic and showed signs of impairments. Woods agreed to take a breathalyzer test and blew a 0.00. However, Woods refused to take a urine test so he was charged with a DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test.
This is Tiger Woods’ second DUI that turned into a devastating crash. The first occurred in 2017 where he completed a diversion program after the crash that left him severely injured.
Woods issued a public statement days after the crash occurred. He explained he would step away from professional golf and is going to seek treatment and focus on his health. He took full responsibility and made it clear he has a commitment to long-term recovery.
Overall, Woods has decided he will not compete in The Masters this year and the whole crash causes suspensions of him returning to professional golf at all.
