Eighty-four year old Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her million-dollar home in Tucson, Arizona. The police have determined that she was taken against her will has her blood was found on the front porch. Deputies review Nest doorbell footage showing a masked, armed individual tampering with the camera the night before. The suspect is dressed in dark clothing, wearing gloves and a ski mask.
The search for Guthrie is very urgent because she has limited mobility and requires daily heart medication. The most recent discovery has been a pair of black gloves that resembled those worn by the suspect. The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department launched a multi‑agency search, including the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team.
There was a suspicion that she was in a Tucson hospital and that this knowledge was denied by family, and the police have confirmed it to be false.
Savannah Guthrie, daughter of Nancy, is a longtime host of NBC’s Today Show. She has been the most verbal person in the case bringing to social media to attempt to get the public involved to help them find her missing mother. She has posted childhood home videos and emotional messages urging the public to keep searching and to pray for her mother’s safe return.
The police briefly took a suspect into custody a delivery driver. His name was Carlos Palazuelos, and he was stopped by law enforcement during a traffic stop and then was questioned because they believed he might have delivered a package to Guthrie’s home. He insisted he had no connection and was soon released.
This case is extremely strange, and worry sum because of how old she is. Hopefully some of the new leads will come back and they can find her soon to keep her alive.
