The most anticipated event of the year happened on Sunday, February 8th, in Santa Clara, CA, at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers. Yes, the Super Bowl is highly anticipated. I am referring to the halftime show, this year performed by the Puerto Rican native artist Bad Bunny.
He sang fourteen songs, opening with Tití Me Preguntó. He then went on to sing Yo Perreo Sola, Safaera, Party, Voy a Llevarte Pa’ PR, EoO, Monaco, Salsa-inspired ‘Die with a Smile” with Lady Gaga, BAILE INoLVIDABLE, NUEVAYoL, LO QUE LE PASÓ A HAWAii” with Ricky Martin, El Apagón, CAFé CON RON. He then concluded with the song DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.
We interviewed the student body at Holy Family High School about their opinions of the Super Bowl halftime show. We had many mixed reviews, going from yes, it was awesome, to no, it wasn’t good, to I just didn’t watch the Super Bowl, and I watched the other one.
One person said, “I am Italian, and that’s similar to his because they are very big on big family things, which is important to me.”
Another person said, “The vibe was really good, I didn’t understand it at all, it’s fine because I still enjoyed the vibes.”
One person said, “I watched the one more closely to my age; instead of the Halftime show, I didn’t even prefer the points behind it, just really wanted to get away from the politics.”
