Q: When did you find out you were going to be the valedictorian?
A: Two months ago, maybe a month ago. A month and a half ago.
Q: What are the criteria to be validatorian?
A: Your weighted GPA has to be the highest in your class.
Q: What do you have to do as valedictorian?
A: I have to give a speech at graduation.
Q: What has been the most challenging thing in your high school academic career?
A: Trying to choose my classes, because my schedule stays the same every semester that year, since everything is locked into
one set block. That forces me to take classes I don’t necessarily enjoy because there’s no room to fit in other classes.
Q: What advice would you give to students who are also striving to be the valedictorian?
A: I would say, if you really want it that badly, just give yourself some you time for yourself, because that’s always important.
because if you don’t, then you’ll burn out super, super fast, and then you won’t even want it or care about it anymore. So, give
yourself time to relax and recover from school. Don’t make your whole life about school.
