As senior year starts to come to an end, it feels like everything is wrapping up—but it’s not over yet. Decision Day is coming up fast on May 1st, and for a lot of seniors, that feels like the final chapter. Like, once you commit to a college or make your post-high school plan, everything else just fades out. But honestly, that’s not really true.
Yeah, we’ve already done a lot of the big things. Senior sunrise was one of those moments that actually felt real, like “wow, this is it.” Sitting there half-awake with everyone, watching the sun come up, knowing we all started this together and now we’re about to leave—it hit different. Then there were things like senior jeans, homecoming, and all the random sporting events where everyone showed up just to be part of something.
But even with all that behind us, there’s still a lot left to look forward to. Prom is coming up, which is something people have been talking about for years. Whether you’re going all out or just showing up for the memories, it’s still a big deal. Then there’s senior ditch day, which is basically a tradition at this point, even if no one officially says it. It’s one last chance to just hang out and not worry about school for a day.
Senior prank is another thing people are already whispering about—hopefully something funny and not something that gets everyone in trouble. And of course, graduation is the biggest moment of all. Walking across that stage makes everything feel real.
After that, there are grad parties, where everyone gets one last chance to be together before going their separate ways. So even though it feels like the end is here, there’s still more to experience before it’s really over.
