The food world was the weirdest. Keebler announced “Hollow Tree Toothpaste” in flavors like Fudge Stripes and Vienna Fingers. It’s a funny idea from a company usually known for causing cavities rather than cleaning them.
Meanwhile, Top Ramen and Butterfinger claimed to be making peanut butter-glazed noodles with candy pieces. The companies said the flavor “features a peanut buttery glaze and real Butterfinger pieces to bring the crispety, crunchety goodness to your favorite ramen.”
Drinks weren’t safe either. Raising Cane’s joked about “Cane’s Sauce Coke,” a sludgy, salty soda inspired by their famous chicken sauce.
Tech and fashion joined the fun too. Ugg showed off the “Uggbrella,” a tiny clip-on umbrella to keep your boots dry in the rain. Terry’s Chocolate Orange revealed a phone case with a special slot for an “emergency” piece of chocolate.
Even Metro got in on it, launching “CALLoGNE,” a perfume that makes you smell like a brand-new smartphone. “A unisex homage to the unmistakable scent of a brand-new phone. Crisp. Clean. A first-of-its-kind fragrance that lingers, just like the moment of getting a new phone,” the company said.
From Dude Wipes’ “Butt Mask” to office water coolers filled with non-alcoholic beer. Another good one was matcha mayo from Heinz and the matcha company Perfect Ted. The matcha mayo is described as “a bold new take on your favorite sauce, inspired by the flavor everyone’s obsessed with right now.”
The chocolate company Monty Bojangles teamed up with the cheese snack brand Babybel to create the Choccybel. The choccybel is shaped like a normal babybel cheese but instead of a red wax coating the coating is made of chocolate, “As part of the rising ‘chocuterie’ movement, Choccybel reimagines the iconic Babybel snack with a chocolatey truffle exterior, wrapped around a smooth, creamy cheese center,” Monty Bojangles announced.
