As playoffs approach, many teams are looking to geta better spot to ease the starting matchup.
The East has three competitive teams looking to make a finals appearance. The Boston Celtics have the most experience and the return of Jason Tatum brings them back to contention for another finals appearance. The Detroit Pistons have been hot this season but an unexpected injury to Cade Cunningham has brought some question into their ability to make a deep playoff run. Rounding out the east is the Knicks who have a bad reputation with playoffs and their ability to make a deep run. Last year they looked good but ran into a red hot Indiana Pacers team. The Knicks have a good lineup with Jalen Brunson leading the way and hopefully this is the year for them to make something big happen.
The west is still stacked with good team and 1st round matchups will be a movie. The 1 and 2 seed in Oklahoma City and San Antonio will have a easier first round than everyone else. However, 3-6 is a different story as the these teams are all within four games of each other at the moment. The Los Angeles Lakers have the three seed and is looking like they’ll play the Houston Rockets. This regular season matchup between them has already gone back and forth and a series between the two will most likely go to seven games. Luka Doncic is balling out right now and is leading the Lakers to the promised land every possession. Denver shortly follows at the No. 4 seed and are trying their hardest not to match up against the Minnesota Timberwolves as they seem to be the kryptonite of this Denver team.
The Western conference playoffs is shaping up to be one of the best playoffs in NBA history and I can’t wait to see who comes out of each conference to the finals.
