The Holy Family Tigers’ basketball teams finished their regular season this past Friday night with a big win against The Classical Academy. Both the boys and girls teams played really well and ended their seasons on a positive note with exciting wins. The fans, coaches, and players cheered loudly as everyone celebrated their hard work and great effort throughout the season.
On Sunday, the brackets for the 4A state tournament were announced. This means it’s time for the playoffs! The Holy Family boys’ team, with a record of 19 wins and only 4 losses, earned the 3rd seed in the tournament. They played very well all season, and now they get to host their first game against Elizabeth High School, which is the 30th seed. The boys’ team is ready to compete and hopes to keep winning so they can go far in the tournament.
The girls’ team finished with a record of 15 wins and 8 losses, earning the 4th seed. They will be playing at home against DSST: Conservatory Green, the 29th seed. The girls’ team has worked really hard all season, and they are excited to start the playoffs strong. Their first game is this Friday at our home gym. The girls’ game will start at 4:30 p.m., and right after, at 6:00 p.m., the boys will play their first game in the tournament. Let’s fill the gym with Tigers’ spirit and cheer loudly for our teams this Friday. Go Tigers!
