With the basketball season coming up, the Holy Family Tigers are traveling on the road to play against the Colorado Academy. The Tigers are very excited to play their first game of the season. The Tigers have a profound squad, led by the three seniors, Matthew Evans, Caleb Schott, and Ryan Grable. In addition to the seniors, the Tigers have two returning varsity players, Myles White and Andrew Ward, who are in the junior class. The new additions to the Varsity squad are juniors Roman Ochs, Cole Jany, and Gunnar Dana, along with a rising freshman, Asher Salas.
The Tigers have been preparing for this game for a while. The Tigers have been grinding through preseason with a Fort Lupton Fall League to better prepare them for the future. Colorado Academy beat the Tigers at Holy Family, and the Tigers are ready for revenge.
Colorado Academy lost to St. Mary’s, a 3A school, by over 20 points. Do not let this game confuse you, as the Colorado Academy is not to be overlooked. The Tigers have learned that lesson. The Tigers are ready this time.
After the Colorado Academy match up, the Tigers are continuing on the road. They play back to back against DSST teams. Green Valley Ranch and Montview. The Tigers have a busy schedule, as they have 13 away games and only 10 home games. After the matchups with the DSST teams, the Tigers have their first home game against Peak to Peak on December 20th. Peak to Peak lost to Centaurus by over 20 points, something that many did not think would happen.
The Tigers are ready for whatever goes their way and are excited for what the season has yet to come. This is just the beginning. The season is finally here and the Tigers are prepared.
