Welcome back after a long break from Thanksgiving to the Crumbl cookie review I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving. This cookie week had high expectations and let’s see if they meet the expectations and time to rate some cookies.
Coming in first place without a doubt is Caramel Toffee Butter Cake, just the name of this cake is a winner. This cake is a warm gooey caramel butter cake baked with a crunch of sugar crystals and then topped with toffee and vanilla bean whipped cream. Where do I even begin the second I dug my fork into this cake it was gooey and delicious the whipped cream did fall off during the drive back home but that whipped cream was amazing. I highly recommend this cookie/cake if you haven’t tried it, go get it right now I rate this cake a 10/10.
Moving on to second place, is the Strawberry Crinkle. I love crinkle cookies especially the chocolate ones, but I am not a fan of strawberries and I didn’t think I would like this cookie but I loved it. This is a warm strawberry cookie rolled in sugar crystals and sprinkled on top with powdered sugar this is a perfect balance of cookie and powdered sugar it doesn’t taste too much like strawberry but the strawberries are there to balance out the powdered sugar this was an amazing cookie and I would get this, again and again. I rate this cookie a 9/10.
Now in third place, which was a hard time deciding about, is the Cookies and Cream Milkshake featuring Oreo. This cookie was a big surprise because it was a chilled cookie but this cookie is made up of cookies and cream milkshake-inspired cookies with Oreo pieces in the base and then a vanilla buttercream with Oreos frosting. I do wish this cookie was warm. I think it would have made it a lot better it was just really hard to bite into, but the frosting tasted like an Oreo which was perfect I rate this cookie a 7.5/10.
Now sadly in fourth is the Honey Bun. This was so disappointing for me because I love honey buns. They are delicious and perfect, and this cookie is made up of a delicious swirled rich cinnamon cookie smothered with honey butter glaze. The one downfall to this cookie was its wasn’t soft it was almost like the cookie was burned and it needed a little bit more of the honey butter glaze other than that the cookie was very good. I rate this cookie a 7/10.
Moving on to fifth Place is Jimmy Fallon’s Holiday Season Candy Cane Brownie. This was a big let down, this is a rich brownie topped with peppermint white drop buttercream and completed with a semi-sweet ganache and candy cane pieces on the top. This was way too chocolatey, you couldn’t even taste the peppermint in the brownie. It was hard as a rock, we could barely get our forks into it and then the chocolate completely overpowered the peppermint and for that reason, this cookie gets a 6/10.
Sixth place goes the Holiday Birthday Cake this is a scrumptious cake batter cookie topped with smooth cake batter cream cheese frosting and festive sprinkles. This cookie was way too sugary there was too much frosting and not enough cookie I couldn’t even take another bite it was too sweet Because of that this cookie got a 5/10.
Now sadly coming in last place is the Lemon Bar. I love anything lemon, and this was a complete let down. This zesty lemon cookie smothered with zingy lemon bar topping and sprinkled with powdered sugar. This cookie looked amazing to start off with but the second you took a bite the lemon was so sour, that it was the only thing you could taste. I had my mom try it as well because she loves lemon and she said the exact same thing it was too sour and because of this the poor lemon bar gets a 4/10.
Overall this week was nothing special. We had some high hopes about these cookies that turned out to be let downs come back for next week’s cookie tasting to see if the lineup gets any better.
