Hi my name is Michaela Herbst and I am a senior at Holy Family High School and the third daughter to graduate from Holy Family. Throughout high school I have been involved in Tennis, Student Ambassadors, French Club, Peace Team Club, Theatre, and Newspaper. I love musical theatre and acting as they give me an opportunity to portray compelling stories to an audience. I want to become a journalist to inspire others with extraordinary stories. I will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder in Fall 2020. I am following a family tradition as my older sisters graduated from University of Colorado Boulder. They are in Law school at University of Denver and Fordham Law in New York. I will be majoring in Journalism at the College of Media, Communication, and Information studying broadcast and print media. Great journalists and storytellers are needed now more than ever to protect our democracy, humanity, environment, and world!
