This year Halloween falls on a Monday. Unfortunately, for most, this means it’s a school night. Although it will be an early night in, the top Halloween costumes are surprisingly generic.

Coming in at number 1: a witch! This generic costume is commonly known to be a top and very common costume for both children and adults. With the Hocus Pocus 2 movie having been recently released, the Hocus Pocus sister costumes have been placed in fourteenth. As you greet trick or treaters or are planning on a costume, stray away from a witch costume if you have the intention of a unique costume.

In second place is Spider Man! As runner up, Spider Man is most commonly known for Tom Holland and older version, Andrew Garfield. Spider Man is now a costume is not only for little boys, but now is considered an all age costume!

Arriving at third is a dinosaur! This costume is definitely the most unique of the top five. This costume is also not your typical DIY costume, but instead an all out blow out. The new and improved dinosaur costume costs a whopping $89.99!

In fourth place is Stranger Things! Season 4 of Stranger Things recently came out at the beginning of July. A commonly known character, being Eleven, is the spotlight of this costume. A common group costume this year is also known as the stranger things gang, including Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max.

In fifth place is a fairy! This fairy costume contains a variety of different fairies. Tinkerbell specifically has also grown to be an all ages costume. A fairy costume this year can allow one to expand their imagination and make the costume their own.
