Time for some Spring golf! After weeks of team practices indoors, the weather is getting warmer and the 2022 Girls Golf season is about to take off. Their first tournament of the season will be held on March 31st at Harmony Club near Fort Collins. This is an invitational tournament with many 5A teams, and will be a great warm-up for their first league tournament (which Longmont will host on 4/4 at Twin Peaks).

Returning players include 2021 4A State Champion Jessica Mason, as well as Senior Madison Rooney and Juniors Ansley Schnelle and Liesel Heitz. These four players will all be playing in the invitational on Thursday. For the first league match on Monday, Jessica, Madison, Ansley, Liesel, as well as Freshman Finley Holmes will all be competing.

Thursday will be Heikke Nielsen’s first tournament coaching for Holy Family. He has already made such an impact on the team, and this tournament is just the first step to what is sure to be a successful season. Make sure to stay tuned to find out about the team’s successes this season!
