There are some teams in the National Football League (NFL) that desperately need something new. With two head coaches already being fired the path has opened for more teams to make the moves they need.
Josh Mcdaniels was the first coach taken out of his position this season being fired from the raiders following their week 8 game after a 3-5 start and not being able to score over 20 points in all of his eight games with the team. He was replaced by Antonio Pierce who has now brought the team to 5-7 . Unfortunately for the Raiders they still have only gone above 20 points once now which leads me to believe there has to be more changes made than just coaching.
The most recent coach taken out of position was Frank Reich who had the worst record in the league as a coach, leading the Carolina Panthers to an atrocious 1-10 start. I am surprised this move didn’t happen sooner because the Panthers have just looked straight up terrible. In an interview after being fired Reich stated that he wasn’t done with coaching but he believes this is probably the final chapter in his NFL journey.
This may have opened the path to some other coaches that fans believe need to be fired as well. Brandon Staley is who I believe will be gone next as the Chargers just cannot seem to get it done when they need to. The play calling on the team is atrocious even Tony Romo said that he could commentate the game and simultaneously call better plays than Brandon Stanley. There is no reason for a team with as much talent and skill as the chargers to have a record of 4-7
Some other Coaches I believe may get removed is Ron Rivera, who’s team is currently 4-8. There are also many coaches in the hot seat. Those coaches are Brian Daboll who had an incredible season last year but seems to have regressed significantly. As well as Mike Vrabel, and Matt Eberflus who are in tough spots that could end with them being fired or getting one more chance.
