Munchin’ on Mystery Cookies
April 30, 2023
As Crumbl Cookie reviews for the 2022-2023 Lamppost season come to a close, a new author will be writing a final review to spice things up a bit.
Coming in dead last is the Buttermilk Pancake cookie. This cookie was very bland and to be quite honest, it sucked. Nothing about this cookie really stuck out and the fact that the buttercream placed on top of the cookie was hard and not evenly distributed made this cookie hard to swallow. The cookie itself was baked to be light and fluffy with a slight under cooked texture to them, similar to some of Mama Burke’s cookies.
The third place cookie this week is Cookies and Cream Milkshake. A cookie served cold with a smooth layer of cookies and cream frosting on top of a thick, under cooked vanilla cookie. Although this cookie was by far better than the fourth place, Buttermilk Pancake cookie, this cookie was not as delicious as the top two contenders for this week’s line up. The texture of the cookie containing a colder frosting and dense cookie is definitely a preference choice for most and is very similar to the classic pink cookie that Crumbl often serves in their line up. Although placing third, Cookies and Cream Milkshake is a top rated cookie for the year.
As runner up, one of the few mystery cookies for the week, the Pineapple Upside Down Cake takes second. This light and fluffy cookie with butter and brown sugar poured over top of a slice of pineapple and maraschino cherry in the middle was a melt in your mouth favorite. Although this cookie was hard to eat with the pineapple slice being difficult, this cookie was quite the definition of an american delicacy.
Taking the gold for the week is the Strawberry Cupcake cookie. This rock star of a cookie was classic and simple, yet extremely flavorful. With a vanilla cupcake cookie base, a heavenly strawberry cream cheese frosting sat on top. The cookie was radiant and filling but enough to leave you wanting more. The frosting was compact but also packed a punch of simplicity and class with a strong strawberry taste. This cookie makes you excited for summer, especially if you aren’t already.
Sadly, the Triple Chocolate Chip cookie was not tasted or judged because the Pineapple Upside Down cookie looked so much better and because an over chocolatey cookie is lame.
