SpaceX the rocket company founded by Elon Musk, is getting ready for another test launch of its Starship rocket on October 13. The flight will take place in Texas, where the company has been building and testing the massive rocket for several years now.
This will be the seventh time that SpaceX tries to fly the full Starship system, which includes the huge Super Heavy booster and the Starship upper stage stacked on top. The last launch, earlier this year, made it higher than ever before but still ended in an explosion before landing. Even tho the rockets have blown up in the past, each test gives the engineers more data and helps them make improvments.
Starship is the biggest and most powerful rocket ever made. It stands almost 400 feet tall and is designed to carry people to the Moon and Mars. NASA has already chosen Starship to land astronauts on the Moon as part of the Artemis program. If it works like planned, Starship could carry more people and supplies than any other spaceship in history.
The October 13 test will focus on showing that the rocket can survive the heat of and also that the booster. Musk has said many times that reusability is the key to lowering the cost of space travel.
People all over the world will be able to watch the launch on livestreams, and many fans are already planning watch . Musk is owner of the app X and will be sharing probably information about it on the app.SpaceX hopes this flight gets them one step closer to making space travel more like airplane fast and cheap
For now, everyone is waiting to see if October 13 will be the day Starship finally goes farther. People predict it will do better than last time but not fully will be able to reach potential.
