I got the honor of interviewing Mr. Greenmyer who currently is my anatomy teacher. He teaches other science related subjects too, but I only interviewed him about anatomy.
Q: What inspired you to specialize in anatomy?
A: I feel the amazing, like, power of God by studying the human body and it teaches me most about God.
Q: What do you find most challenging about teaching anatomy?
A: There’s so much more information that we could put into stuff that we don’t I class. I’m holding back every class there’s stuff I wish that we could add in. There’s so much detail we could go into but were limited based on time.
Q: How do you incorporate new research and technologies into your curriculum?
A: If there’s new research then we present it in class. When whatever were doing like body systems or whatever if there’s some new article or journal we talk about it.
Q: What advice do you have for students pursuing careers in health sciences?
A: Persevere. Don’t get distracted, bogged down, beaten up by challenging and hard stuff, cause that’s just the nature of some science classes.
Q: What are some misconceptions students have about the human body?
A: That it’s complicated. It’s beautifully simple like every other subject. There’s a simplicity and a beauty to the pattern and stuff of a human body.
