Q: How was it attending the U.S. Open as a ball girl and missing 2 weeks of school your sophomore year?
A: “It was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And during, like, sophomore year, I thought, like, oh, like nothing really major happened. And, like, if I missed 3 weeks, it’s fine. So I did 3 weeks of school while I was in New York, and when I came back, I only had to make up, like, one test and one chem lab, so it wasn’t that bad.
Q: What was the process for applying to the U.S Open as a ball girl?
A: “It started with just putting in my email to get the notification to apply. And then the application was just like, Why do you want to be a US Open ball girl, Your experience in tennis, and then like a little quiz of tennis experience stuff.”
Q: What is your favorite senior year tradition?
A: “I like the senior jeans or senior sunrise. Those are just really fun experiences.”
Q: What are your after high school plans, college, field of study, location, etc?
A: “I plan on doing mechanical engineering at probably CU or CSU. I plan on staying in the state.”
Q: How is your U.S Open experience going to play into your college applications?
A: “I can use it like my essay, and show how I’m capable of going into large places, meeting new people, and collaborating with other people.”
