After weeks of preparation, decorating, and waiting, Homecoming 2025 is over, but memories still linger in the minds of the students of Holy Family.
With the theme of “Enchanted Forest,” Homecoming weekend this year was not only full of school spirit, enthusiasm, and memories that will be forever held in the heart, but it was also a time for students to come together not only to celebrate tradition, but to celebrate one another.
Now that the music has ceased playing and the lights are out, the question is: What comes next?
To the majority, HoCo’s legacy is a strange mix of exhaustion and nostalgia. Monday morning was filled with sleep deprived eyes, husky voices, and at least one person still wearing leftover glitter. Nevertheless, for all the return to normal school life, the event had its impact.
“I had a lot of fun. I’m sad it’s over because I don’t know what to look forward to now,” Junior Priya Lucas said. “I talked to people I wouldn’t normally talk to.”
Moments of the night flooded social media, dance floor photos, group shots. Of course, no big night is drama-free. There were whispers of cringe-worthy run-ins, last-minute cancellations on dates, and dance floor breakups down the hall. But by and large, the mood was decidedly positive.
“It wasn’t perfect, but it was fun,” Junior Ulyssa Lozano stated. “People danced and laughed, some people cried. But that’s high school.”
As the school looks forward to future events and research, HoCo 2025 reminds everyone of community and fun, and the way even a gymnasium full of kids can be unforgettable.
