Ben Johnson made his return to Detroit, and it did not go as planned. The Lions defeated the Bears 52-21 to get there first win of the season.
The Lions offense was scoring all game long with seven touchdowns and one field goal, with Amon-Ra St. Brown scoring three of them.
Jared Goff had one of the best games of his career after having 334 passing yards and five touchdowns. The Lions offensive line had a much better day with allowed zero sacks.
The running game was strong with Jahmyr Gibbs have 94 yards and a touchdown and David Montgomery having 57 yards also with a touchdown. The receivers were outstanding, St. Brown and Jamerson Williams have both 100+ yard. St. Brown had three and Williams had one. Brock Wright and Sam LaPorta were great in the run game but also helping by catching three passes each, Wright caught one of them for a touchdown.
Isaac TeSlaa had an incredible one-handed catch that led to a clutch touchdown late in the first half.
The Lion’s defense was much better with one interception and four sacks. Aiden Hutchinson had his first sack back from his broken leg that he suffered last year. Hutchinson is back and ready to make a big impact on a defense that struggled heavily last year.
