On August 12, Taylor Swift announced her new album “The Life of a Showgirl”.
Swift, a four-time album of the year winning Grammy artist, leading the highest-grossing concert tour of all time, named the most-played artists on Spotify, and most awarded Billboard and American music artist of all time, just announced that she is going to be releasing a brand new album. Swift, while being a special-guest on the “New Heights” hosted by the Kelce brothers, brought out an orange glittered briefcase, and showed the entire world the cover art for her album, the name of the album, and the names of all 12 songs on the album.
First, what to expect on the album: Swift while on the podcast, said that all 12 tracks on the album were made only by Max Martin and Shellback. Swift previously has worked with Martin and Shellback on her biggest pop albums like “1989” and “Red”. Swift said “I want to be as proud of an album as I am of the Eras Tour and for the same reasons”. Also on the podcast, Swift said that the album art was photographed by the same people who photographed her album “Reputation”. Since this is Swifts 12 album, she has decided to only have 12 tracks. Even though Swift is known for making quote on quote “deluxe” albums, that have more songs published with them than the original albums, she is only keeping with 12 tracks, and no more. Swifts track-listing names include: 1. “The Fate of Ophelia”, 2. “Elizabeth Taylor”, 3. “Opalite”, 4. “Father Figure”, 5. “Eldest Daughter”, 6. “Ruin the Friendship”, 7. “Actually Romantic”, 8. “WI$H LI$T”, 9. “Wood”, 10. “CANCELLED!”, 11. “Honey”, 12. “The Life of a Showgirl (Feat, Sabrina Carpenter)”.
