As I’m finishing up my Junior year, I’ve learned a lot this year. Coming into a senior in high school, I’m grateful for life. With each year that passes, you learn lessons and you learn from your past mistakes.
I feel like junior year is when you receive a ton of character development. As many of us approach 18 years old we are on the way to adulthood. No more leaning on our parents to make our lunch, but instead navigating life in a way we never have before. It’s scary and riveting at the same time.
I am grateful for Holy Family because I feel like the community, the curriculum, the teachers, and everything prepares you for the life you want to live. It also provides opportunities that many other schools can’t provide. Another thing we have is faith. Faith has been speaking to me more and more the longer I’ve attended Holy Family.
When things are good, pray. When things are hard, pray harder. Always lean on faith to help you persevere.
I know how easy it is especially as a teenage girl to let boy drama consume your life at times. But you can’t let boys distract you until that boy is your husband. Life is too short to care about things out of your control.
As much as you wish, you can’t go back. You can’t go back to last year or week. Harping on the past is going to do nothing for you but cause unnecessary stress. Interpret the past as a lesson. Let your past mistakes dictate your future actions.
This insightful article shared some facts: “We all have those events in our pasts. We all have those things that we need to learn from. Some of us struggle to let go of the event and just keep the lesson, though. And when that happens, the past threads its way through the future, weaving old mistakes into new ones and creating yet another situation we’ll need to recover from.”
Everything happens for a reason!
