With the boys 5A and 6A already rolling the great eight has been set for the coliseum. Rangeview, Valor Christian, Ralston Valley, ThunderRidge, Eaglecrest, Mountain Vista, Chaparral, and Regis Jesuit for the 6A side.
The one seed Rangeview coming off a win against George Washington faces off against number nine Regis Jesuit coming off a battle against Grandview. Number five Valor c0ming of a good win against Arapahoe is going to play number four Ralston Valley after beating a good Denver South squad.
The 2nd seed Eaglecrest plays against number seven ThunderRidge and then number three Chaparral faces off against number 6 Mountain Vista.
These games will be played Saturday the 8th to see who will advance to the final four.
For the 5A side of things Green Mountain, Falcon, Mesa Ridge, Windsor, Stanley Lake, Dakota Ridge, Montrose, and Sand Creek. Number 16 Green Mountain after upsetting the number one seed faces off against number 25 Sand Creek who has come from the play in games. Number 21 Falcon plays number four Montrose, number two Mesa Ridge plays number seven Standley Lake, number six Windsor plays number three Dakota Ridge.
These games will be played on Friday the 7th.
The 4A playoffs get started on Friday the 7th as well all 32 teams will be playing with a different format type of tournament. It has changed to a regional type of setting with only the top eight teams host. If a team wins on Friday then they will play back to back making a Friday and Saturday game. Which will then result in the great eight played on Wednesday the 12th.
The 4A starts a week later but ends up catching up at the state championship will all classification playing the same day. The 4A teams potentially play five games in nine days if making it to the championship.
