“Disney’s Snow White” is a live-action musical reimagining of the classic 1937 film. The magical music adventure journeys back to the timeless story with beloved characters Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy. The set release date is March 21st, 2025 after being slated for March 22, 2024.
Rachel Zegler is set to be playing Snow White and she was also seen in the hit movie “The Hunger games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Gal Gadot is playing the Evil Queen, Andrew Burnap playing Jonathan, and Patrick Page voices the Magic Mirror.
As of December 2024, Disney’s Snow White remake trailer had over one million dislikes on YouTube. This made it one of the most disliked trailers in YouTube history. The Snow White trailer received backlash due to Rachel Zegler’s portrayal and Disney’s decision not to hire actors with dwarfism to play the Seven Dwarfs. Disney was very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White, but has no comment on not including actors with dwarfism.
Peter Dinklage has questioned Disney’s decision to create a live-action version of Snow White, which he described to be “backwards” and “Makes no sense”. He added that he supports Zegler and the rest of the cast but, “But I’m just like, What are you doing?” he said. He would be “all in” for a retelling of Snow White.
Disney responded to Peter Dinklage’s comments on the live-action Snow White. Here’s what they said,
“To avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community,”a Disney spokesperson said in a statement to Vulture. “We look forward to sharing more as the film heads into production after a lengthy development period.”
Will you be planning on taking a trip to the movies to watch this film or will you be joining the rest of the people waiting to watch it on Disney+ ?

No. I have no intention of supporting Disney in this matter. The film might have had a chance but the star felt entitled to share her opinions on a variety of issues. I believe in free speech and I have no problem with her talking about her views. It was her attitude that I have a problem with. It seems that people on social media can’t discuss issues without getting nasty. I respond with my wallet. No money from me. I think the movie Snow White and the Three Stooges is a better version than this one is. I can’t fathom Snow White being a “boss girl”. Though the haters of this movie still might go so they have something to b*t*h about. Disney doesn’t care why you spend your money as long as you spend it on their products.
