Last year, I discovered a really good author. I read 4 of her books a month! I couldn’t put them down, and I was always wondering what would happen next. My friends and I would read these books at school or over the weekends. I remember the fastest book I read was just about 4 days. When you find an author that you really like, it makes it easier to read because you are interested.
They are by Colleen Hoover. She is from Sulphur Springs, Texas, and she is 45 years old. Most of her books are about a love story of some kind, but every book has an insane twist you would never expect. Also, most of her books cover some traumatic things that do happen to people.
That is the exact reason I’m never able to put them down. Out of all the books I’ve read, I have a couple of favorites.
My first favorite is a book of the name Heart Bones. I loved this book because it was set at a beach and I loved the characters. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but some crazy things happened.
Another really great book by her is called Verity. This book is a psychological thriller, and it brings a thrill.
Colleen Hoover has come out with a few series. It Ends with Us, and It Starts with Us is a duo book series that was recently turned into a movie. I went to watch “It Ends With Us’ in the theater, and it was amazing. Especially reading the book first made the movie even better.
This book intrigued me because it addressed abuse in relationships. Hoover touched on the fact that her mother dealt with this horrible event, and that is what drove her to write this book. To raise awareness about domestic abuse.
There are many more of her books that I’ve read but these are the most known/my favorite. Right now, I’m reading a new book by her called Slammed!
