We all know and love the TikTok app. However, recent news has surfaced that the app is going to be permanently banned. The app is supposed to be banned by January 19th.
However, many people are arguing that this TikTok ban is unconstitutional. Many constitutional standards are not being met. The law states that the app “must show that the ban is the only way to prevent serious, imminent harm to national security and that the ban limits no more speech than necessary to accomplish that purpose” to completely ban it. Many rumors are involved in this situation, not necessarily facts.
There are billions of people on TikTok, and I will admit it brings many things. Many funny, inspirational, and dynamic things are posted on TikTok daily. The majority of these videos are completely harmless, and they just entertain the people of America.
However, many studies have been put into TikTok from a psychological aspect and find that TikTok has severely distracted many children, young adults, and even adults as well. Attention span is shorter, and less work is done. From this perspective, we can see the negative effects, and what they might do to the population over time.
I can admit that I am addicted to TikTok. We are also addicted to our phones, so it’s giving double homicide. if TikTok was not accessible there would be a much bigger difference between people who once couldn’t put it down. On the web, It states that just under 1/3rd of users use TikTok as their full-time job, as they get paid a full-time salary. This will negatively affect those who genuinely make a living off TikTok.
The TikTok shop is pretty iconic, and there are many good finds, so that will be missed. All the videos and memories people have on TikTok are something that deserves to be salvaged.
I believe someone should buy TikTok and keep it running because TikTok deserves to be saved!!!!
