As you could’ve guessed golf clubs and equipment is very important in today’s game of golf. Golf clubs play a huge role in the success of a golfer. Walker St Germain is a core member of the JV golf team and has been a member of the team since his freshman year and just recently got new clubs.
This is Walker St Germain’s episode of “What’s in the Bag”
Driver: Cobra LTDx Driver 10.5°
Walker’s favorite club is the driver. He loves to say “If you can’t get the ball off the tee you can’t get the ball in the hole,” which is true. Walker likes his driver because he said “I hit nukes off the tees, it goes straight and it goes far that’s why I love it.”
Irons: Mizuno MP-15’s (4-pw)
Walker recently got new Irons this past year and he says they have helped his performance. He loves shot-shaping these irons because he feels he can get a lot of control over them. “These irons are where it’s at, I can hit them high, low, fade draw you name it I can hit it with these irons.”
Wedges: Titelist SM9s 50°, 54°, and 60°
Walker got these wedges from his older brother Wiley and he talks about a bond he’s formed with them. “Me and my wedges get along. I hit them and they end up right next to the hole. I like them because they allow me to get spin on the back and hit big flop shots.”
Putter: Scotty Cameron: Futura X7
“I got a Scotty” Walker said. “This putter helps me stay consistent and make putts from all around the green.”
Walker wants to keep improving this year and show out in his final few tournaments of the year. He’s looking forward to the Bobblehead, a fun tournament that people dress up for and have fun, hosted by Holy Family. He hopes to come and take a crack at varsity next year and lead the team to state for his senior year.
