She is indisputably the best player in women’s college ball right now, and she is the clear number one pick in the WNBA draft.

She’s first in points per game, with 32.3, first in assists per game, with 8.7, and averages 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 46.5%.

This year has been historic for her.

Iowa basketball: Caitlin Clark owns the NCAA scoring record, but others have more pointsOn February 15th, she passed Kelsey Plum as the leading all time scorer in NCAA women’s basketball. Iowa’s arena recently put her Number 22, on the spot in which she broke the women’s record.

Two weeks later against Ohio State, she passed Pete Maravich as the all time leading scorer in college ball (both genders), period. Celebrities and fans alike went ballistic in the arena when she broke the record. Clark is known for her long range ability and deep three shooting. She’s shooting 39.3% from deep this year, but half of her three point attempts could be considered half court shots.

Caitlin has led Iowa to a 26-4 record so far, good enough to rank them third in women’s ball right now. Iowa is currently on a three game win streak, and are second in the Big 10, only one game behind Ohio State.

Last game however, Iowa cruised past number #2 Ohio State 93-83, which is huge for a potential tie-breaker showdown. Clark had 35 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals in her final home game and senior night. To top the night off, she broke the all time scoring record right before half time with a pair of free throws. Last week, Clark declared for the WNBA draft, where she is likely to be the number one pick, who the Indiana Fever currently have possession of. It’ll be exciting to see how Clark shows up in March, because when in March, there’s bound to be madness.
