Although she grew up in New Jersey she attended the University of Miami and participated in the “get ready with me” trend where she would talk to her audience while she puts on makeup and chooses an outfit. She also makes videos of her everyday life activities like going to class and going to tailgates. She is the oldest of five siblings and involves them in her videos. 
Her quick claim to fame is due to her “relatable” personality and platform for her viewers. She even shared a video of her disorganized room and many of the comments pertained to “This legitimately made me feel so much better about the fact that I am also just a messy girl,” as many of her viewers said. She also shares her journey with acne and accutane. She went viral for showing her natural skin with no makeup and sharing the message “social media is fake”. She shows what her skin looks like with makeup and filters compared to no makeup and no filter. She shares “don’t compare yourself to what you see on social media”. This makes her very likable to people because they see that she is relatable unlike other influencers who only show the “perfect” parts of their life.

This also gave her a big following on Instagram and she started a Youtube channel blogging her everyday life and events. She also started a podcast called “Hotmess” where she discusses many different topics like boys, friendships, and other relatable subjects.
