Draymond Green has been on one this season with everything that he has been doing. Is he going to be suspended for more games than he even plays this year?
Two nights ago when the Warriors took on the Suns with 8:23 left in the third quarter Draymond hit Jusuf Nurkić right in the face. He received a technical foul and was ejected. That would not be the first ejection that he has had this season. This would be his third time being ejected this season. After this ejection he was suspended indefinitely by the NBA.
His other ejections have been for choking Rudy Gobert and then another one for receiving two technical fouls.
Draymond Green has done this many times in his basketball career. He has a total of 18 suspensions. He has the most ejections in the NBA with active players.
In 2016 he was suspended for the game 5 of the NBA finals after something with Lebron James. And then after that the Cavs came back to beat the Warriors in the NBA finals 4-3. They were down 3-1 and came back and ended up winning the finals.
2018-2019 season he was suspended yet again for one game for an altercation with his teammate Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant was calling for the ball and Green decided to take it himself and not pass and then turned the ball over in the late seconds of a game. When they went to the bench the two got in a heated altercation. The argument continued into the locker room after the game had ended. This was one of the believed reasons on why KD departures from Golden State.
2022-2023 season. He did not get suspended for what he did but he did receive a fine. During a practice he punched teammate Jordan Poole. He was not suspended but he was asked to step away from the team for a couple of days. What Poole allegedly said to get punched was, “You’re an expensive backpack for 30.” He said this because the team was going to pay Poole more than Green and Green was unhappy that he was going to be getting payed less hence he thinks he is the second best player on the team. Green then punched him in the face leading to him get asked to step away from the team.
2022-2023 season he was yet suspended again. This time he was suspended for receiving his 16th technical foul of the season. He was suspended one game without pay per NBA rules. The Warriors lost the game he was suspended for.
2023-2024 season he was suspended for five games. What he did was absurd. Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels got into an altercation and the benches cleared. Draymond came running over and put Rudy Gobert in choke hold. They were 2 minutes into the game when he was ejected from the game.
And yet again two nights ago he was suspended indefinitely by the NBA. He is being required to meet certain NBA conditions before he is able to return back to play. As of now he is going to be out for awhile.
