I don’t quite know why I am even making my predictions public anymore as for College Football I went a humiliating 1-5 on my picks, but here we are again predicting what the bracket will look like for 3A Colorado high school football.
This last weekend was week one of league play, if you don’t know you have five league games, and five non league games. Its safe to say that the title could be anyone’s this year, but there are a few favorites (Holy Family).
Here are the standings according to MaxPreps after week 6.
I think that a sneaky good team whose ranking doesn’t define them is Frederick, they had some early season struggles but are back on the right pace, and will most likely move up in the rankings come playoffs.
On the flip side, I think Thompson Valley will drop in the rankings as they play Roosevelt, and Resurrection Christian late in the season.
Green Mountain who is the one seed, will probably stay in the drivers seat for the remainder of the season as they play some inferior teams in Conifer, Wheat Ridge, Littleton, and Skyview.
However, enough talk about the rest of the teams in 3A, your Holy Family Tigers have been playing good ball and are looking to finish the regular season at a strong 9-1 record. We also will have one of the highest strength of schedules in 3A, because we have good teams such as Frederick, Broomfield, Roosevelt, and Lutheran, and have beat three of the four, and came up just short against Roosevelt.
If the playoffs started today we would be a strong two seed playing one of the last teams in, being the 15 seeded Pueblo County Hornets.
Also a little insider news, if (when) we win out the rest of our regular season, we will be home and host every team until the championship which is played at CSU Pueblo, so we need all of the students to show out at the games and be loud, and root for Holy Family!
