This past Sunday, the Denver were apart of history – but not on the good side. Our hometown team got absolutely embarrassed by the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins scored a staggering 70 points, to our measly 20. The offense played terribly. Russel Wilson played okay, with 309 passing yards, and 1 touchdown and 1 interception that wasn’t his fault. Courtland Sutton had two fumbles and dropped a touchdown. Besides that, he had 8 receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown, which actually isn’t bad considering the offense hasn’t been able to pass the ball in years. But the two fumbles were on potential touchdown scoring drives which turned into 6 for the other team – a 28 point swing that killed any momentum we had. The offense needs to establish a strong running game with Javonte Williams, and not just because he’s on my fantasy team. If the Broncos do, teams will have to respect the run game, which will open up more play action calls, which is where Russ thrives. We also need to score more than 13 points, because we’re not winning any games with our offense scoring 13 points. We had a kick return touchdown from our promising rookie, Marvin Mims Jr., but we can’t count on that every game for points.
Don’t even get me started about the defense. 70 points. 726 total yards. Tua Tagovailoa went 23/36 309 yards and 4 touchdowns. Raheem Mostert had 142 total yards and 4 total touchdowns. Devon Achane, a rookie, had 233 total yards and 4 total touchdowns. Tyreek Hill had 9 receptions for 157 yards and a touchdown. Absolutely embarrassing. This was the most points scored by an offense since 1966. Throw away the whole defense. Fire everyone. What we’re doing right now isn’t working. How do we let a headcoach, who used to be the ball boy for the Broncos, score 70 points on an NFL team. The Broncos need to leave the AFC West and join the PAC-12. We might be able to win some games there.
On a blunt 0-3 start, the Broncos might actually win next week, as we take on the Chicago bears. The final score of this game would be 2-0 and I wouldn’t be surprised. When will the pain end. Broncos Country, Let’s Cry.
